Red Rili Shrimp are selectively bred from Red Cherry Shrimp for their rili pattern. They have red color on the head and tail with a clear body.
CARING - Red Rili Shrimp are easy to care for as they can adapt to a wide range of water parameters. They can be kept in either soft or hard water, we recommend keeping them in hard water with a gH of at least 8 for them to show their best color. Aquarium should be fully cycled before introducing any shrimp. There should be no trace Ammonia and Nitrite, Nitrate should be under 25ppm. Weekly water change of 10-20% is suggested to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death.
BREEDING - Breeding Red Rili Shrimp is fairly easy, if there is a male and female in the aquarium, they will breed. Female shrimp will carry the eggs for about 30 days until they are hatched to miniature size of their parents. It is important to have a well established aquarium in order for the shrimplets to survive as they can only consume biofilms until they grow older. We recommend to only keep one strain of Neocaridina shrimp per tank because of crossbreeding, which will revert the offsprings back to wild color.

We took a risk and order our shrimp before a weekend vacation, hoping it would arrive before we left. Well.... it didn’t go out dismay. It was totally our fault, but when we got back, I opened the box expecting all the shrimp to be dead but 10 out of the 11 were still kicking. That’s 4-5 days in an enclosed bag! I’m thoroughly impressed. Wes on 27th Jul 2018

These shrimp came with very very faint red or even dark blackish coloration and blue middles. Not good at all. Wish I could return. Unknown on 22nd Sep 2017
I've purchased orange rilis from SoShrimp before and they were great so I purchased the reds. Unfortunately I'm not very happy with the coloration of the reds. Firstly they have blue bodies which I wasn't expecting and the red (due to the blue) is very dark and faded it almost looks black on some and barely noticeable on others. On top of that I purchased 10 and literally every single one is male. I will say they were packaged well and despite a delay in shipping, every one was alive. Unknown on 18th Sep 2017
