Orange Sakura Shrimp are another strain from the Neocaridina family. They are sometimes called Orange Pumpkin or Sunkist shrimp, they breed 100% true and as prolific as Red Cherry shrimp.
CARING - Orange Sakura Shrimp are easy to care for as they can adapt to a wide range of water parameters. They can be kept in either soft or hard water, we recommend keeping them in hard water with a gH of at least 8 for them to show their best color. Aquarium should be fully cycled before introducing any shrimp. There should be no trace Ammonia and Nitrite, Nitrate should be under 25ppm. Weekly water change of 10-20% is suggested to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death.
BREEDING - Breeding Orange Sakura Shrimp is fairly easy, if there is a male and female in the aquarium, they will breed. Female shrimp will carry the eggs for about 30 days until they are hatched to miniature size of their parents. It is important to have a well established aquarium in order for the shrimplets to survive as they can only consume biofilms until they grow older. We recommend to only keep one strain of Neocaridina shrimp per tank because of crossbreeding, which will revert the offsprings back to wild color.

Even though the post office took their sweet time getting these to me and it was in the middle of a freak snowstorm (in mid APRIL!) all 33 shrimp arrived alive and well. I had ordered 3 different types, Blue Bolt, Crystal Red & Orange Sakura. I ordered 10 of each, received 11 of each. All acclimated well following the instructions that came with them and all appear to be alive and well (I didn't take a head count) today, over a week later. Unknown on 20th Apr 2019
I got 2 beautiful orange Sakura shrimps and they've really brought so much color and vibrance to my nano tank. Thank you! Unknown on 4th May 2018
I bought a mixture of blue velvet, orange sakura and taiwan bee blue bolt. All alive and well. However out of 4 orange shrimps received (3 ordered and 1 freebie), only 1 have nice color and the rest look like clear shrimps with a tint of orangish red at their back. Maybe they are temporarily discolored due to stress from shipping--or maybe they are too young to display vibrant colors. Anyhow, that's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. I would give the company another try when I plan to buy more shrimps. Y.S. on 1st Jun 2017
